Happy Veteran's Day!

thats great that you remembered to put this on your blog. i didnt and im embarrassed to say that.
last night on the news i did see a program where they build houses for vets. this young guy on there just found out his house was ready - and what a beautiful house it is. he was injured & is blind now, so they have made special things in the house for him - like heating unit that works by voice.
he said he is not sorry that he ever went off to war. he was serving his country & he still looks at it as being the best thing he could ever do. what a true hero. i wish him, and any other service man/woman all the happiness in the world.
I'm a single thirty something gal that lives in New England. I was born and raised as a midwest gal (IL) and moved here in 1994 because of a guy (Isn't that always the case?). I've been a high school history teacher since 1999.
